Computer science graduates are recruited heavily by technology and financial firms. Career opportunities include developing software systems for a diverse range of applications such as user interfaces: networks; databases; forecasting; World Wide Web support, medical communications, satellite and embedded systems. Many get employment in telecommunication & financial industries. The explosive growth of the internet provides numerous jobs for those familiar with internet technologies. A large number of graduates are self-employed, some as heads of software consulting companies. With the widespread use of computers, computer engineers can find employment in almost any area of the industrial sector and in defense and research establishments. They can work with national and multinational manufacturers of computers. Computer engineers also find work in data processing departments of modem industries and in areas where computers and computer-aided systems are used, such as aeronautics and space science, the petroleum industry, chemical plants, and power plants.
The department of Computer Science Engineering started functioning with a mission to impact training for the students in the most modem computing technologies. The department has well qualified, experienced and hardworking faculty who are committed in developing the skills of the students in the field of computer science. The activities conducted in the department are to mould bright young computer science engineers for the top-class MNCs.
The department also offers the various elective subjects according to the current trends in the industry. Also the department conducts invited lectures by eminent Professors from IIT Delhi etc.
The department is provided with Cyber Lab, Programming Lab, Project development Lab, Data Structure Lab, Programming Paradigms Lab, Systems Lab, Compiler and Networks Lab. In each Lab consist ofwell configured machines. The main feature in Cyber Lab is that it is supporting 3 Mbps internet speed with wifi facility. The Labs are equipped with the Windows, GNU Linux, UNIX operating systems with C, C++, Java, PERL, LISP, J2EE, J2ME, Visual Basic, Visual C++, Dot Net, Photoshop, Page Maker, CorelDraw Software’s and with MS-SQL Server, Oracle database Packages. More opportunities are provided to the students to do value added project works and to enhance their professional skills.The B.Tech student of Computer Science & Engineering in Akido College of Engineering is a good blend of Hardware and Software. The syllabus will definitely facilitate the students to establish a strong foothold in the real world Industry.
The Association of CSE department is regularly arranges and organizes Seminars, Conferences, Guest Lectures and Technical Symposiums. Guest Lectures, Seminars, conferences all are on current and emerging trends and are delivered by eminent personalities from various reputed Industries and Institutions.

Internet Fundamentals is a course designed to guide you through the Internet and its wide array of useful resources.
